Spiritual Enlightenment: The Damnest Thing - Jed McKenna

Clean, pragmatic writing by a spiritual master this trilogy by Jed McKenna will help process spiritual awaking on an intellectual level. McKenna’s writing is based on the Zen Buddhist tradition but he writes in a form and syntax that is very accessible to Westerners. I often recommend him to men because his plain-spoken style appeals to people who wouldn’t be caught dead in a Yoga class. Spiritual Enlightenment: the Damnest Thing is the first book of his I read and I highly recommend it as a starting point because of his excellent “spiritual disclaimer” which pretty much lays the groundwork for the entire journey.
